Objective and Strategy
Objective:
To
have a hand closer to 21 than the dealer's.
Strategy:
None
of this strategy guide is intended to give definitive answers.
This is a basic set of reasonably stable guidelines. There are
several variables. This is only a basic guide.
Aces
count as either 11 or 1. Provided you have enough credits available,
you can double down and take only ONE card. Insurance is offered
when the dealer has an ace (1 or 11) face up and you have the
credits to cover the cost of insurance.
Splitting
is not allowed in this version of the game however will be available
in the next.
This
is a 5 deck shoe. Repeating cards are common either in your
hand or the dealers.
The
decks are re-shuffled after every hand and the stack of the
cards is random. Use your skill in determining if you should
hit or stand and wait for the dealer to 'bust' (receiving a
hand over 21).

Spades Objective and Strategy
Objective:
To
score as many points as possible by accurately assessing and
bidding your hand for the number of tricks you expect to win.
Strategy:
None
of this strategy guide is intended to give definitive answers.
This is a basic set of reasonably stable guidelines. There are
several variables. This is only a basic guide.
In
general when building your hand it is advisable to keep Spades,
Aces, Kings, & Queens. This is merely a guideline; the cards
that you decide to discard and keep should be based to some
degree on what you observe in the discard pile. Therefore you
should make mental notes as to what is discarded.
You
should base your bid on what you have, what you have seen discarded,
and to some degree the assumptions you make regarding what the
other player has. Remember you have seen half the deck.
Generally
speaking, for the purposes of 2-Handed Spades it is to your
advantage for the other player to lead beginning the game. Your
opponent will lead to begin the game when your bid is 7 or higher.

HEARTS
OBJECTIVE & STRATEGY
Objective:
To score as few points as possible by avoiding tricks with Hearts
and the Queen of Spade, or by “Shooting the Moon”
in which case you take all the tricks with hearts and the Queen
of Spades.
Strategy:
None of
this strategy guide is intended to give definitive answers.
This is a basic set of reasonably stable guidelines. There are
several nuances. This is only a basic guide.
In most
cases, avoid taking a trick containing hearts or the queen of
spades. The only time you will want to take such tricks is when
you are trying to “Shoot the Moon” or trying to
prevent your opponent from successfully “Shooting the
Moon”. “Shooting the Moon” is taking all the
tricks that contain Hearts and the Queen of Spades.
It is best
to play your highest cards early in the game, while your opponent
is likely to have some cards in each suit and will have to play
those cards instead of hearts. Tricks that do not contain any
hearts or the queen of spades do not add to your score.
You need to keep track of which cards have been played, particularly
whether the queen of spades has been played and whether hearts
have been broken (that is, whether a heart has been discarded
on an earlier trick).

Triviera Objective and Strategy
Objective:
To
score as many points as possible in a round of 10 questions
by correctly answering as many questions as possible without
running out of points.
Go-For-Gold
Strategy:
None
of this strategy guide is intended to give definitive answers.
This is a basic set of reasonably stable guidelines. There are
several variables. This is only a basic guide. You win money
by accumulating enough points to achieve a ranking.
In
order to achieve a Platinum ranking you will need to answer
all 10 questions correctly, placing 200 points on the first
question, and 500 points on the remaining questions.
In
general you will need to answer a minimum of 7 questions correctly
to achieve any of the other rankings. This of course is dependant
upon the amount of points you place on each question, and which
question(s) you miss.
Head-To-Head
Strategy:
None
of this strategy guide is intended to give definitive answers.
This is a basic set of reasonably stable guidelines. There are
several variables. This is only a basic guide. You win money
by accumulating more points than your opponent(s).
The
game format is the same as in Go-For-Gold play, however your
only goal is to be the highest scorer in your particular Head-To-Head
game room. Therefore the strategy you use when placing your
points on any particular question may be different, as your
primary goal is not to achieve a ranking but rather to score
higher than the other player.
